The Michigan Room houses collections mainly pertaining to the histories of the Library, City of Charlotte, and the immediate surrounding areas. Limited collections focusing on the history of Eaton County and the State of Michigan are housed as well. All materials are for in-house research; not available for check out.

Highlights of our collections include:

  • Local newspapers dating back to the late 1800s.
  • Charlotte High School Yearbooks dating back to the early 1900s.
  • Local Cemetery Records.

Collections in the Michigan Room and those on the library’s digital repository are works in progress or may not be complete collections.
